BwB is delighted to announce the appointment of Christina Caljé as a Member of the Investment Committee of BwB’s own pilot venture fund investing in the Nature Tech space (“BVF I”).
Our new venture fund investing in small and growing businesses focussed on NatureTech and aligning with BwB’s advisory to deliver value and make a positive impact in the growing biodiversity space.
Born and raised in New York City, Christina is a banking executive turned start-up founder, having launched and scaled businesses across Europe and the US. Following the acquisition of her video technology company in 2021, she shifted her ambition toward legacy.
Christina invests early in practical innovations that address pressing social, economic, and environmental challenges and is especially motivated to support founders from historically undercapitalized groups. She takes action through direct investment, syndicating investment through SPVs, speaking as a subject matter expert on impact investment themes, and launching goal-oriented networks such as 'Impact Investor Group', which she co-founded with BwB.
"I applaud the ambitions of BWB to shift the fundraising landscape in the start-up ecosystem, with its launch of BVF I. As an Investment Committee member, I look forward to playing an active role in resolving the persistent undercapitalization of diverse founders. Less talk, more investing!”, commented Christina.
