Lagi Fisher

Lagi is an accomplished professional with nearly two decades of expertise in the areas of insurance, superannuation, and development banking with extensive experience in the field of medium, small and micro enterprises (MSME) and agribusiness development and financing in Fiji and the Pacific region. He recently served as the Lead Agri Value Chain Finance Consultant at the International Trade Centre, working under the prestigious United Kingdom Trade Partnership Programme (UKTP). Throughout his career, Lagi has been dedicated to promoting financial inclusion and his passion for the cause led him to serve as a member of the National Financial Inclusion Taskforce - MSME Financing Working at the Reserve Bank of Fiji. His notable achievements and affiliation with prestigious organizations showcase his commitment to fostering economic growth and sustainable development through accessible financial solutions for MSMEs. Lagi’s expertise and dedication have made a significant impact on the finance industry, and he continues to be a driving force in creating positive change in the global financial landscape.  Lagi holds a master’s degree in innovation management and entrepreneurship from the University of Newcastle, and a bachelor’s degree in management and public administration as well as accounting and financial management.
