Ruby has extensive experience in development in the Global South, focusing particularly on climate change, human rights, governance, and natural resource management. For the past several years, she has been specialising in climate finance from public and private sources for agroforestry, regenerative farming, and the development of thematic bonds to empower communities and advance the objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals. Her professional focus also includes programme conceptualisation, development, and implementation.
Ruby leads strategic partnerships for one of Nepal's largest NGOs and is Managing Director of the thinktank Centre for Development and Diplomacy Nepal. She also works as a consultant for various multilateral organisations, including the United Nations, where she is currently fulfilling a role at HQ in New York reporting directly to the President of ECOSOC. She is also a regular expert panellist at global conferences that specialise in climate change, gender, and livelihood generation and protection.
Ruby holds a master's degree in Democracy and Governance from Georgetown University.
