Mrs Sina Hbous has an overall professional experience of over 17 years in the diversified field of sustainable development. She is currently part of the advisory team supporting Egypt’s Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF 1)- EBRD. Sina is also advising and consulting several institutions on reporting, sustainability and governance, Islamic banking and climate and sustainable finance for organisations including UNEP FI, IsDB, Insurance federation of Egypt, and UN Women. She gives trainings to several banks on sustainable finance and ESG.
Sina was assigned as the first interim executive director of the Regional Centre for Sustainable Finance in Egypt. She has also been chairman’s advisor of Egypt’s financial regulatory authority (FRA) for sustainable development from the beginning of 2019, where she has led efforts to introduce promote climate finance instruments, sustainable insurance and ESG related disclosures in the finance sector. Sina has also worked as a private sector advisor for CEDARE focusing on Egypt’s green economy study and Egypt’s sustainable consumption and production strategy. She also assumed the role of associate director of Gerhart Centre AUC.
