BwB CEO, Rupesh Madlani, and Executive Director, Christine Zhou, travelled to Paris to represent the firm at the European Outreach Event for the China-EU (Baoting) Green and Digital Innovation Zone Climate Challenge. The Baoting Innovation Zone in Hainan Province is a testing ground for climate-resilient, sustainable development models in island and coastal contexts, bridging European and Chinese expertise in service of global climate goals. The initiative convenes stakeholders from both regions looking at policy, finance, and technology to identify scalable, investable climate solutions. “This is the kind of collaborative platform we need to accelerate real-world impact,” said Rupesh. “By aligning global ambition with local innovation and finance, we can move faster toward climate resilience and inclusive development.” Key Highlights:
The Baoting Innovation Zone aims to develop replicable models for island and coastal resilience.
It prioritises nature-positive, digitally enabled, and health-aligned climate solutions.
BwB is helping to establish pathways to finance these innovations at scale through technical structuring and catalytic partnerships.
Heartfelt thanks to the organisers from Ningyuan Institute of Climate and Sustainable Development for convening this productive event. What do you see as the biggest opportunity for nature-positive innovation in coastal regions? Let us know in the comments below.
