At the Cyprus Forum Cities 2025, held in Limassol under the theme 'Building the Cities of Tomorrow, Today', BwB’s Vice-President and City Finance Specialist for Greece & Cyprus, George Ioulianos, joined mayors and municipal leaders to explore how national-local cooperation can accelerate the transition to climate neutrality.
George led a hands-on workshop with city officials, focused on the tools, strategies, and financial models that can empower cities to become true agents of systemic change.
“This is not about implementing 10 or 20 green projects per city. It’s about adjusting the way cities are operated and structured, so that everything they do is sustainable and green,” comments George.
Now in its third year, Cyprus Forum Cities continues to be a platform for open dialogue and bold thinking, gathering local leaders, institutions, and citizens together to shape more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable urban futures.
