BwB at World Future Forum Lisbon: Driving Sustainable Finance for a Net-Zero Future

This year’s World Future Forum in Lisbon brought together innovators in sustainable finance and investment, pioneering technology developers, thought leaders, government officials, and sector specialists to explore strategies for redirecting capital flows towards net zero and climate-positive goals, including the introduction of the Allied4Future Sustainable Finance Goals.

BwB Associate, Renata Haseth, joined a diverse panel of experts to discuss the central role of finance in building a sustainable future, covering issues that ranged from financial policymaking to structuring innovative financial instruments.

Key takeaways from the Forum included:

  •  The transformative power of innovative financial structures in accelerating climate adaptation and resilience activity.

  • The need for a unified, mission-driven approach that channels capital toward climate-positive investments that can help shape a resilient, net-zero future.

  • The essential role of collaboration and innovation in implementing climate adaptation and resilience initiatives that bridge across public and private sectors.

"The World Future Forum was a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when finance, innovation, and purpose align. By working together across sectors, we have the opportunity to not only drive economic growth, but to invest in solutions that restore and protect our planet," commented Renata. "The Sustainable Finance Goals offer an exciting potential framework for channelling resources to where they are most needed for impactful climate action.”
