BwB attended the “Enhancing Climate Resilience: Integrating SLM and Index Insurance” technical roundtable hosted by The Commonwealth in London.
Under discussion was the UNCCD's proposed concept of Sustainable Land Management (SLM) Linked Index Insurance.
This innovative concept aims to increase long-term resilience against drought shocks at the community level by strategically combining parametric insurance with SLM practices.
The event provided a fruitful exploration and analysis of the overall concept and feasibility of SLM-Linked Index Insurance, and its potential synergies with ongoing projects.
