BwB held its annual strategic offsite last week in beautiful Elountas, hashtagCrete.
The event brought together our team and global advisors to discuss market developments and how BwB could further leverage its experience and expertise to accelerate positive hashtagimpact in key strategic areas.
We also learnt about exciting new technologies that are supporting social good, including the work of BioOrbit, which aims to revolutionise cancer treatments through innovative drug development in zero-gravity conditions. BioOrbit's CEO and Co-Founder, Katie King, PhD, shared her incredible vision and ambition with the team and discussed how BwB could support BioOrbit’s efforts to improve the treatment landscape for cancer patients.
BwB Impact Investor Group Member, Christina Caljé, joined BwB Senior Advisor, Shriya Samarth, BwB Ambassador, Leslie Labruto, and BwB Executive Director, Allison Lobb, for a lively panel discussion about interest rates and their potential effect on investments in hashtagESG products.
BwB Special Advisor, James Cameron, provided wide-ranging insights on the outlook for hashtagclimate co-operation in an increasingly fragmented and uncertain global market environment. He joined BwB Ambassador, Benjamin Bartle, on a panel to discuss the opportunities and risks of secondments between the firm and its partner organisations.
We also enjoyed an excellent session on communications and marketing with our outreach partner, Tom Lawless, who provided strategic advice on how to best frame and communicate around impact.
In typical BwB fashion, the offsite wouldn’t have been complete without some health-hacking sessions, which this time included a 5km run, beach yoga and pilates, and a double canoe and paddle-board afternoon.
BwB's CEO, Rupesh Madlani, said that the company’s annual offsite is “an important opportunity for our firm to come together with key stakeholders and partners to reflect on our progress, collaborate on some of the most significant challenges facing our planet, and recommit to our goals and each other to accelerate our work. Now in its 11th year of operation, BwB continues to be a key innovator in global finance”.
