BwB are pleased to announce our collaboration with UNEP FI on a report presenting the outcomes of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) pilot, involving over 40 leading financial institutions from 19 countries and 7 sectors. The pilot aimed to test the draft risk management and disclosure framework from TNFD and provide support to financial institutions on unboxing nature-related dependencies, impacts, risks, and opportunities.
The report presents key findings and case studies from the participating financial institutions, as well as a complementary sector-specific report for deeper insights. The insights gained from the pilot can help raise awareness, and shift global financial flows away from nature-negative outcomes toward nature-positive outcomes, ultimately contributing to a more sustainable and resilient economy.
We believe that nature-related risk is a critical topic that deserves as much attention as climate-related risk and are excited to be at the forefront of this emerging field. Our CEO, Rupesh Madlani, comments, "Nature-related disclosure is now recognised as a significant opportunity for corporates, investors, and regulators to incorporate in their disclosures to benefit their positioning in the marketplace. BwB are pleased to play a role in this transition pathway and expresses our gratitude to our pilot partners for their engagement in our work together."
We are proud to have contributed to this important initiative and remain committed to advancing sustainable finance and promoting the integration of nature-related risks in financial decision-making.
The report was produced with the kind support of GEF, in partnership with WWF.
