Connecting Cities and Private Capital: Introducing CHIP

How can Mission Cities unlock the private finance they need to achieve climate neutrality by 2030? As part of the Climate City Capital Hub, BwB and its consortium partners at NetZeroCitiesEU are proud to launch the Capital Hub Investment Panel (CHIP), a neutral platform that offers cities feedback from the private investment community. What CHIP does:

  • Builds confidence for private capital mobilisation

  • Provides market intelligence on city climate planning and investor insight into early project preparation. Delivers early feedback on financing approaches that attract private and blended capital.

  • Supports the design of innovative delivery models.

CHIP is a forum designed to help cities align their projects with investor expectations and unlock pathways to scale climate investment across Europe.

“CHIP is about creating a neutral, constructive space where investors can help shape innovative solutions for cities, accelerating the journey from climate ambition to investable projects,” says Delphine Queniart, Director of the Capital Hub.   ➡️ Learn more about how the Capital Hub and CHIP are supporting Mission Cities in Europe’s transition to climate neutrality. What do you see as the biggest barriers to mobilising private capital for city climate projects? Share your insights in the comments.
