Across Europe, more than 100 Mission-Labelled Cities are aiming for climate neutrality by 2030. From Helsinki to Athens and Dublin to Bucharest, the Climate City Capital Hub is playing a crucial role in this shared journey. Led by BwB and its NetZeroCitiesEU consortium partners, the Capital Hub translates climate ambition to investment readiness, helping Mission Cities unlock, structure, and mobilise capital for high-impact, climate-aligned projects. City Finance Specialists (CFS) are an integral part of the Capital Hub. As local finance experts embedded in city ecosystems, CFS work directly with MissionCities to: Develop and structure bankable climate projects Identify financing opportunities and investors Build local financial capacity By bridging public priorities with private finance, the CFS network ensures that cities have the tools, partnerships, and resources they need to implement their Climate City Contract Investment Plans and advance toward climate neutrality by 2030.
