BwB is proud to support the Safe, Sustainable, and Swift Reconstruction of Ukraine Project (S3RoU) - a bold, forward-looking initiative that is developing low-energy green building materials by upcycling rubble from conflict-damaged buildings.
It’s a powerful example of circular innovation that could help Ukraine rebuild its cities using durable, sustainable materials – transforming the devastating consequences of conflict into a foundation for a greener future.
This work is part of InnovateUkraine, a UK-funded programme dedicated to accelerating Ukraine’s energy recovery, decarbonisation, and long-term security.
Together with our partners e7 energy innovation & engineering and Headland, BwB is supporting 13 pioneering energy projects that collectively cover everything from battery storage, biogas, and geothermal to green hydrogen and smart grids, all with a central focus on a resilient and low-carbon recovery for #Ukraine. The team is delivering financial advisory, investor engagement, and commercialisation support to help these projects scale and deliver impact where it’s most needed.
“The opportunity to rebuild better is also a responsibility,” says Christine Zhou, Executive Director at BwB. “S3RoU is showing how innovation and sustainability can go hand in hand in Ukraine’s recovery.”
