BwB has published a collaborative thought leadership article with World Economic Forum Davos Baukultur Alliance that discusses the urgent environmental need to accelerate retrofitting activity and explains how place-based solutions can help overcome financial obstacles that exist in the residential building sector.
The article highlights the innovative work BwB is doing to bridge the gap between “where finance is” and “where finance needs to be”. This includes working with local public authorities across Europe to develop bankable, place-based retrofit projects, supported by the Climate City Capital Hub and the expertise and know-how of City Finance Specialists.
“Decarbonising the built environment is a huge challenge that requires a cross-stakeholder approach. With BwB continuing to work hard on creating multi-dimensional solutions that encourage the flow of finance into this key area of climate resilience activity, we are delighted to have collaborated with WEF Davos Baukultur Alliance to open up the discussion to a broader audience,” commented BwB’s CEO, Rupesh Madlani.
”I am excited that BwB is focused on delivering much-needed innovation to help transform the built environment, which provides the supportive fabric of communities and civil society. We are pleased to be partnering with impactful organisations such as WEF Davos Baukultur Alliance within the ecosystem. Collaboration is a crucial part of continuing to amplify this important work going forward,” further added Christine Zhou, BwB Executive Director.
