Join BwB at COP16 Riyadh: Exploring Carbon Markets for Drought and Land Degradation Solutions

Calling all COP16 Riyadh attendees!

BwB is proud to be hosting a side event on 3 December at UNCCD COP 16 to bring together key public, private, and NGO actors engaged in the carbon space.

BwB Managing Director, Chris Smith, will moderate a structured discussion on the challenges and potential of utilising carbon markets to support UNCCD’s mandate to combat desertification and drought.

“Although there are structural and other challenges to be addressed,

carbon markets offer tremendous potential for enabling finance flows into

drought and land degradation activity,” commented Chris. “Biodiversity and resilience credits add additional layers of opportunity for high-integrity projects that benefit local communities.

We have been investigating these themes with UNCCD, and we look forward to discussing some of our key findings and gathering additional input on the path forward during the session.”

🟢 The session kicks off at 9am on Tuesday 3 December  in MED-07.

We look forward to seeing you there!
