Belen Ortiz
Senior Analyst
Belen is a multilingual economist with expansive experience in the public and development policy sector. She took early career steps at institutions such as the Bavarian Ministry for Economic Affairs, KfW Development Bank, and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom. In her previous role as junior advisor at the German Development Agency GIZ, she specialized in climate and infrastructure finance for cities while working for the C40 Cities Finance Facility program, and published articles on green bonds. She holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Bayreuth and two bachelor’s degrees in international cultural and business studies from the University of Passau and the University El Salvador in Buenos Aires.
