Michael Ahere

Michael brings experience at the intersection of finance, data, and sustainable development. He is currently Chief Operating Officer at Leron, an electric vehicle start-up developing a taxi-hailing motorcycle service to reduce carbon emissions in Nairobi, Kenya.

Michael is trained in financial modelling through the Financial Modelling Institute and has applied his quantitative skills to research using Kenya’s FinAccess microdata, focusing on mobile money and household financial resilience. He brings an evidence-led, practical lens to climate and development-focused work.

Michael holds a degree in Financial Engineering from Strathmore University in Nairobi.
