Leslie Labruto

An engineer by training, Leslie has almost 20 years of track record in climate finance, leadership, and innovation. She is building a global engine called Resolve to bring fast and affordable working capital into the climate and nature space. She most recently served as Managing Director of Sustainable Finance at the Environmental Defense Fund. Prior to this, she was the founding CEO of the 100x Impact Accelerator, Head of Investments at Acumen Fund, and Global Director of Clean Energy at the Clinton Foundation, and started her career in venture capital at Summit Partners. Highlights of her career include architecting and creating Acumen's flagship US$250 million Hardest-to-Reach Facility, which aims to bring energy access to 16 underserved countries in Africa and structuring and launching - from scratch - a US$112 million innovative junior debt fund for climate ventures during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Leslie earned her M.Eng from Imperial College London in Mechanical Engineering and B.Eng from Vanderbilt University, where she served on the Board of Trustees from 2011-2015.
