BwB Country Call for Partners in India: Climate, Health, Built Environment and Gender

In India, climate, health, housing and gender are often financed in separate silos. Yet, they are interlinked, and their financing finance should be so too.

Meeting growing climate, housing and health needs takes new ways of financing, not just more of it.

BwB is a not-for-profit advisory firm powered by investment bankers. We work alongside governments, cities, development banks, UN agencies and partners in India across four areas:

  • Climate finance: BwB advises governments and cities on sovereign and sub-sovereign debt, from green and Sustainability-Linked Bonds to debt-for-nature and climate swaps, as well as funds, and adaptation and nature finance. Through our Capital Hubs, we help clients build investment-ready climate portfolios that attract capital market investors.

  • Health Finance: a recently launched Health Finance practice in India, led by BwB’s new Executive Director, Madhavi Misra, who brings over 18 years Indian public health experience. Health Finance builds on BwB’s work structuring outcomes-based finance, advising on healthcare PPP and supporting hospital nutrition programmes.

  • Built environment: municipal and infrastructure finance and valuing the health benefits of climate investments.

  • Gender: designing financial instruments channelling capital for women’s livelihoods, and helping governments and cities apply a gender lens to budgeting so public spending reaches them.

If you are interested in working with BwB in these areas and more, we would love to hear from you.

We are looking to connect with:

  •  independent advisory firms across India

  •  universities, think tanks and private and government institutes

  •  economists, financing specialists, providers and insurers

  • impact investors, foundations and philanthropies
