30 April 2025 - NAIROBI: Bankers without Boundaries (BwB) is delighted to announce the appointment of Lilian Macharia as Hub Director of the Africa Capital Hub (ACH). 

Lilian is a dynamic executive leader with over 25 years of experience in development and climate finance. Her expertise spans investment origination, structuring, and execution, with a strong track record of maximising investment impact through building consensus and collaboration among diverse groups of high-level stakeholders. Her exceptional ability to work across multicultural and multidisciplinary teams to foster collaboration, align goals, and accelerate tangible action underpins her strength in navigating complex incentives to drive transformative change. 

As Hub Director, Lilian will guide the strategic direction and operational delivery of ACH’s mission to mobilise US$1 billion in investments for high-impact environmental and social projects across Africa by 2030. She will play a crucial role in unlocking private, public, and philanthropic capital, developing robust investment pipelines, and strengthening Africa-led partnerships that drive transformative sustainable development.
