Madhavi Misra

Madhavi is Global Head of Health Finance.

Madhavi is a public health specialist with extensive experience in India across maternal and child health, primary health care, and health systems strengthening. She has worked closely with think tanks, public-private partnerships, and academic institutions at international, national, and state levels to understand and strengthen approaches to care.

Most recently, Madhavi worked with Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health on strengthening primary health care across five states in India. Her work on team-based mentoring models in Gujarat and Meghalaya has been recognised at state and central government levels and is being scaled up. She has previously contributed to leading research and policy organisations, including the Public Health Foundation of India, the Population Foundation of India, and Oxford Policy Management. She has also worked with India’s Ministry of Health & Family Welfare on comprehensive abortion care, and with the Population Council on research into women's groups and health interventions.

Madhavi holds a Master of Arts in Social Work from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences and a Master of Public Health from the University of Warwick. In 2017, she was selected as a Chevening Gurukul Fellow by the UK's Foreign and Commonwealth Office, completing her fellowship at the University of Oxford.
