Since its launch, the Climate City Capital Hub has been working with Mission Cities across Europe to bridge the gap between climate ambition and investable action.
Highlights so far:
- 92 Mission Cities engaged.
- €308 billion in potential operational savings and €87 billion in measurable co-benefits, from cleaner air to improved public health, identified through Mission City Investment Plans.
40 assignments in progress, including technical pre-feasibility studies, financial models, business plans, fund setups and more.
By blending public and private finance, offering technical expertise, and strengthening municipal capacity, the Capital Hub is helping cities design and deliver pipelines of bankable, high-impact climate projects.
Led by BwB and its consortium partners at NetZeroCities, the Capital Hub is a cornerstone of the EU Cities Mission, ensuring Europe’s urban transformation is investable and scalable.
