Chris has provided scientific advice to conservation management agencies in countries across Africa and the Middle East for more than a decade. Chris is a dedicated conservation scientist who has worked for a South African state conservation Agency state, NGO sector and moved into the private sector as a cofounder and director of Conservation Alpha. Chris provides research support and management advice to address real conservation problems and specialises in the design and development of novel strategies and methods to measure impact, the design and analysis of biological and law enforcement monitoring strategies, and investigations of effectiveness. Chris designed and oversaw the building of the M and E systems that underpin the Wildlife Conservation Bond and heads up the team performing the Calculation Agent role for the bond. Chris is now heavily involved in development of cost effective, verifiable, scalable monitoring and evaluation systems for financial products linked to Nature Based Solutions.
