BwB would like to invite you to a 90 min webinar on Thursday 18th May 2023, 12:00 – 13:30 GMT hosted in partnership with the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) Energy Capital team and Darkmatterlabs.
The WMCA is looking for alternative ways to bring in the required funding needed for the region to transition to Net Zero. To address this, we are developing a mechanism to use the social, health, and environmental outcomes that arise from decarbonizing communities to raise finance.
We are looking to engage with a wide range of stakeholders to help us design this outcome-buying mechanism. We are looking for representatives from financial institutions, utility providers (e.g. electricity, water), the health sector, public authorities, infrastructure providers (e.g. travel, power), corporates/financial institutions with CSR mandates, and philanthropy.
The aim is to co-design the proposition in partnership with stakeholders from an early stage, to ensure it the design is relevant and encourages long-term participation.
